The Best of May 2025
May 2025 was one of those months that will live in my heart for a long time. It was full of milestones, memories, and momentum — both personally and professionally. It felt like the first real breath of summer, a deep exhale after the long winter, and a month that reminded me of the power of community, movement, and love in all its forms.
The Studio: A Dream Coming to Life
Let’s start with the most exciting news — the studio. Re•solve Wellness Studio is getting closer and closer to being ready for our official opening, and I honestly still have moments where I walk in and think… is this real?
The renovation process wasn’t always glamorous, but it was deeply meaningful. Creating the aesthetic, selecting paint, ordering equipment, every corner of that space was touched by intention. I wanted to create a space that feels safe, inspiring, empowering — a place where people can come home to themselves. A place where wellness isn't overwhelming, but welcoming.
Huge shoutout to Jason for flying out and doing his usual “handyman hero” routine. I swear, that man shows up with a drill and a bag of snacks and somehow makes magic happen. I think one of the things I love most about him is the way he can turn something so ordinary into something really special. He’s a problem solver, and hugely talented- much to my benefit. From lighting to fixing things I didn’t even know were broken, his presence was a blessing and a reminder of how supported I really am. More on the studio in one of my next posts.
Spring Hikes & Time in Nature
May gave us some perfect early spring weather, and I made sure to soak in as much of it as I could. A couple of hikes up in the foothills were good for the soul — the kind where your legs burn a little but your heart feels light. There’s something about being surrounded by pine trees, blue sky, and that fresh mountain air that reminds me why I do what I do. Nature has always been my reset button.
I encourage my clients all the time to move for their minds as much as their bodies — and these hikes were a reminder of just that. Movement doesn’t always have to be measured in reps or minutes — sometimes it’s just about getting outside, breathing deep, and remembering who you are.
Olivia’s Birthday
May 7th was a special day — Olivia’s birthday. As she nears the end of her Grad Program at DU, and accepts a permanent position here in Denver, its hard not to think about the little preemie that arrived 25 years ago. Proud is such an understatement and celebrating her is so easy! Watching her become her own person is such a privilege — she’s strong, thoughtful, wildly funny, and has this fire in her that I know is going to change the world in her own unique way.
We celebrated with cake, laughter, and a few impromptu dance parties — the best kind of celebration. Birthdays are always a reminder to slow down and savor the people we love most. Time really is the most precious thing.
Cooper’s Marathon — and a Surprise Guest Runner!
Another huge highlight: Cooper ran Colfax Marathon on May 18, his first 26.2— and absolutely crushed it! Owen and Kelly came in from Austin to “crew” him, which meant so much to all of us. Having family around makes everything feel bigger and brighter.
But here’s the wild part: at the last minute, Noah jumped in and ran it with him. No training plan, no pressure, just pure heart. Truth be told he changed the whole experience for Cooper- he’s so selfless and so supportive. Watching the two of them cross that finish line together was one of those moments I’ll never forget. It was about so much more than the miles — it was about showing up, cheering each other on, and doing something hard together.
It reminded me why I love this work. Fitness isn’t about perfection or aesthetics — it’s about strength, resilience, and showing up for yourself (and the people you love) even when it’s tough.
And BUFFALO!!!!!!
Olivia, Noah, and I flew to Buffalo, NY - met Jason there…..and watched Avery run her first 13.1 at The Buffalo marathon. Here’s the kicker….Liv was able to secure a race bib in the 11th hour and run it with her! Sisters running their first 1/2 together….there’s literally nothing better. We followed the course by foot to cheer them on, got to see Andy between his baseball trips, and finished off the trip by visiting Niagara Falls. It was a super special weekend and I was so so so proud of the two girls. My cup runneth over….
A Month of Momentum and Meaning
May wasn’t just about the big moments — it was also full of small wins and quiet shifts.
It was women in my health coaching program making breakthroughs around food and body image.
It was morning coffee on the back deck with my pups.
It was conversations that cracked open something tender and real.
It was me, remembering again and again, that healing happens in layers.
I always say: you don’t need a perfect plan — you just need a starting point and the willingness to keep showing up. May reminded me of that truth in so many ways.
Moving Forward with Gratitude
As we head into summer, I’m feeling so grateful.
Grateful for this community.
Grateful for this work.
Grateful for my people — near and far — who remind me that I’m not doing any of this alone.
And grateful for you, reading this. Whether you’ve been following my journey for years or just recently found Re•solve Wellness, I want you to know: I’m cheering for you. Your story matters. Your goals matter. And you are capable of more than you know.
Let’s keep moving, keep growing, and keep showing up — together.
