Bookworm April 2025
Let Them by Mel Robbins is a short but powerful mindset shift packed into a simple phrase: “Let them.” The whole idea is about releasing control over what others do, say, or think—because most of the stress we carry comes from trying to manage things we can’t control.
Instead of getting caught up in people’s opinions, actions, or drama, Robbins says: Let them. Let them judge. Let them misunderstand. Let them do their thing while you stay focused on your peace, growth, and purpose.
It’s super straightforward, but that’s what makes it hit so hard. The book feels more like a tough-love pep talk than a long, drawn-out self-help guide. If you’re someone who overthinks, people-pleases, or gets drained trying to keep everyone happy—this one’s a wake-up call.
Short, empowering, and honestly… kind of freeing. Let them. Keep doing you. I read through this pretty quickly. Let Them is one of those books that's deceptively simple but really sticks with you. It's not trying to be super deep or complicated-it just hits you with a mindset shift that can actually change how you react to people and situations.
What I liked most is how it gives you permission to not engage in every little thing. It's like a breath of fresh air in a world that constantly tells you to fix, explain, or prove yourself. Mel Robbins has a way of being both no-nonsense and super encouraging at the same time.
Did you read it already, or thinking about picking it up?
