On Feeling Stuck (and Choosing to Move Anyway)
This week, I had one of those days.
You know the ones—where motivation feels far away, like it packed its bags and went on vacation without telling you. Where everything just feels off. My body felt heavy, my mind scattered, and even my usual routines felt… pointless.
And the worst part? I started spiraling into that old internal narrative.
“You’re supposed to have it all together.”
“You’re a coach—you shouldn’t feel like this.”
“Why are you struggling with the very thing you teach?”
Oof. That voice can be so loud sometimes. Maybe you’ve heard it, too.
But here’s the truth I had to remind myself of (again): feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’ve failed—it just means you’re human.
And in that moment, I gave myself permission to not be perfect, but to be present. I took a walk without tracking the steps. I made a nourishing meal without overanalyzing the macros. I sat on the floor and cried for five minutes, then stretched for ten. I didn’t “crush” a workout—but I moved. I didn’t check off every box—but I showed up.
And guess what?
That small shift—the choice to keep moving, gently and imperfectly—was the win.
I share this not because I want you to think I have it all figured out (spoiler alert: I don’t), but because I want you to know that you’re not alone. We all have off days. Coaches. Moms. Professionals. Women navigating a hundred things at once. No one is immune to the ebb and flow of life, hormones, energy, or emotions.
What matters is how we respond when the “off” days show up.
Do we shame ourselves into silence?
Or do we soften and keep showing up with compassion?
So if you’ve had a week where everything felt heavy—or if you’ve been stuck in the “what’s the point” spiral—I see you. And I’m right there with you. Let’s remember: progress isn’t made by perfect days. It’s made by how we show up when things feel hard.
So here’s your gentle weekend reminder:
You don’t have to do it all.
You’re allowed to rest.
And you’re still worthy—on your off days, on your messy days, on your in-between days.
This weekend, I’m focusing on resetting without pressure. That might look like journaling, a walk in the sunshine, or simply doing nothing at all. Whatever it is—it’s enough.
Sending you love, grace, and a big exhale.
